~>SUMOSAM (Rockwell)

I've always been a Japanese food enthusiast. With that said, I am a huge lover of Japanese foods. These two statements sound pretty redundant, right? Well then, think no more and feast your eyes on the following pictures as we venture my newest favorite restaurant: SumoSam!

SumoSam sells the concept of Western cuisines fused with Japanese authenticity, or is it the other way around? Anyway, this cool establishment has become a favorite of mine ever since we located it in the Power Plant Mall at Rockwell!

My family and I were greeted by lovely hosts. I loved it the instant I saw its ambiance as there weren't too many people inside. I usually do not like eating at crowded restaurants as I get migraines, so this particular place is good for me!

I would have to say, their bottomless green tea is what made me love this restaurant. If you've been reading this blog a lot, you would know that green tea is my thing - and having it refilled anytime? Temptation!

First was their Mt. Fuji Steak (Tenderloin with Tri-Mushroom demiglace).

It was definitely one of my favorites! The steak goes really well with the fries, and the sauce was just so inviting. I had a hard time sharing because I wanted to eat this all by myself. Haha. Oh well, maybe I'll go there again sometime by myself...

Yes, we still weren't full so we ordered Unagidon, too!

Oh man, we loved this too? Seriously? Is there anything we didn't love? The servings were also big and satisfying!

And the last meal we ordered? The Las Vegas Roll!

It was worth a try. The cheese overpowered all the other ingredients, though, we didn't mind because we love cheese.

~>TATAMI (Serendra)

Recently, my mother, my little brother and me went to eat at Tatami. For those who do not know, Tatami is a Japanese restaurant. It was our second time eating there. How I missed that place!

We were still a little full from eating popcorn so we opted for the least amount of food possible. :) LOL.

We first started it out with their Kani Salad which was worth 190 pesos. It was delightfully yummy. I love cucumbers so this was a definite favorite for me. The crunch was just right.

Next up is my little brother's Niku Udon!  It was 240 pesos. I felt the price was adequate since one bowl can already be shared by 2-3 persons.

The noodles are springy and yummy. The beef is tasty, too. My mother felt that the soup was too salty for her own taste, though. My little brother had no difficulty emptying his bowl. Haha.

This is the Seafood Teppanyaki dish. It was my favorite. It was very tasty. The scallops were chewy. The ingredients were just the right amount without being too salty nor too bland. It was worth 280 pesos. In fact, we even had some leftovers of it so we took some of it home. XD

Another one of my favorites was the Gyudon for 265 pesos.

I seem to have a penchant for beef. XD Anyway, this was satisfyingly melt-in-your-mouth goodness! It was heavy on the tummy, too, so make sure that you're wearing your comfortable pants. Otherwise, you can still share?

We all washed down the food we ate with their green tea for 85 pesos. It was both bottomless and iced!

This green tea was the ultimate deal-getter! I, personally, would just like to go again to Tatami just for the green tea. That's how good it was!

Overall, we had a good meal at Tatami. We would surely come back here again.

  Have you been to Tatami?
